Report: Vaping is More Cost Effective Than Smoking

Posted on

We all know the benefits of vaping over smoking — no tar, no tobacco, no smell, can wean oneself off nicotine addiction down to 0 nic e-liquids — the list goes on. However, while debates on these topics and tax rates rage on, what we do know right now is that vaping can be much more cost effective than a smoking habit.

Long-Term Investment
Buying a device that you can vape in the long-term is much more effective than disposable, throwaway packs of cigarettes. The same can be said for disposable e-cigarettes as well. If taken care of properly and undamaged, a new long-lasting device can cost as little as $15 to start. And, of course, Cyclops Vapor offers an affordable variety of e-liquids to choose from. The Cost of Smoking
So, how much does smoking actually cost? While smoking clearly costs lives, Fortune reports that it does a ton of damage to pocketbooks too. An analysis released in early January shows that Connecticut is the highest ranking state for cigarette cost. Smokers are spending an astounding $56,000 annually on average, according to personal finance website WalletHub. This could amount to $2.8 million over the lifetime of smokers in Connecticut. The analysis broke down both smoking cost throughout one year and one average lifetime, taking into account tobacco prices, taxes, health care costs and income loss due to smoking health-related issues.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention researched the entire United States, and found that smoking costs “over $300 billion annually,” not to mention the U.S. Surgeon General’s take on the lost lives in addition to financial strain. Fortune notes the numbers from the Surgeon General, which reports “since 1964, smoking-related illnesses have claimed the lives of more than 20 million Americans, and 2.5 million of those were non-smokers who suffered the effects of secondhand smoke. Smoking is a leading cause of lung cancer, and smoking also causes health issues such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema.”

Smoking among adults reached an all-time low in 2018, hopefully due to the positive effects of vaping. Want to make the switch? Contact Cyclops Vapor to save money and your life.
